Fun](https://teletraanone.com/index.php/2025/01/03/more-m-a-s-s-fun/): A few years ago, I built a large Cobra MASS Device playset piece after being inspired by images of upcoming 7-inch Super7 GIJoe Ultimates! figures. They pay homage to the original Sunbow cartoon character models, and the figures appear to have stepped straight out of an animation cell. The downsides to this line are the eye-watering price and the slow-as-molasses release schedule. Plus it seems the line is now on hiatus or at least potentially making the switch to cheaper, mass-retail “deluxe” figures instead. They’re easy to disassemble, their parts are all compatible, and their noggins are both the size/scale and neck construction of a large number of Marvel Legends. - [Snow Inspiration](https://teletraanone.com/index.php/2022/03/13/snow-inspiration/): It seems like we don’t get as much snow around here as we used to, so when a random March weather system brings you a surprise 4-inches, you have to take advantage.  The biggest question was what to photograph.  I decided that it would be impossible to resist taking some Star Wars pics in a Hoth motif, and followed with Iceman and the rest of the OG X-Men fighting a haslab Sentinel.  My only regret is that it’s March, and the snow melted away nearly as fast as it showed up.  Enjoy! ‘Til all are one, collecting is half the battle.

- [Mega Thundarr & Conan](https://teletraanone.com/index.php/2021/10/21/mega-thundarr-conan/): Looking at all of our MOTU Mega figures, it dawned on me that custom figures of Thundarr and Conan, the greatest Barbarians of the 70’s and 80’s, wouldn’t be a big leap at all.  And of course, if you make Thundarr, you have to include his trusty companions Princess Ariel and Ookla the Mok.  I went one step further and made their horses too, including Ookla’s weird puffy mutant horse.  I hope to include these guys in future installments of “Glitches” soon.  Enjoy! ‘Til all are one, collecting is half the battle.

- [Flashback: Mixel Stop-Motion Adventure](https://teletraanone.com/index.php/2020/05/25/flashback-mixel-stop-motion-adventure/): Five years ago, my son and I dove into the stop motion deep end.  He was 8 years old at the time and really into Lego Mixels, so that was a no-brainer for the subject of our project.  It’s not perfect, but for a first try, we were pretty proud of it.  We learned a lot about Dragonframe, After Effects, and Premiere Pro, robust software tools that do a ton, while we only scratched the surface of each.  Not much else to say other than “Enjoy!

- [Revoltech Spider-Man](https://teletraanone.com/index.php/2017/02/14/revoltech-spider-man/): Last week I received a box from Japan, my first revoltech figure in the 6″ scale, Revoltech Amazing Yamaguchi Spider-Man.  While this isn’t a full-blown review, I wanted to take some pictures that really show off the finer points of this figure.  He has joints galore, lots of extra interchangeable hands, different webbing effects, and even multiple eye-inserts so that Spidey can emote all different kinds of expressions if that’s your thing.  They went all-out with the accessories. - [Revoltech Transformers - Springer](https://teletraanone.com/index.php/2017/02/13/revoltech-transformers-springer/): Deviating from my previous work on Season 1 characters in revoltech form, I decided that the official Hot Rod and Ultra Magnus figures needed some reinforcements.  This was my very first attempt to sculpt or shape anything harder than mild curvature, and at such a small scale, it was challenging.  Making that helmet from nothing by Aves Apoxie-sculpt, I also employed random bits and pieces of 1/144 scale gundam model kits to approximate Springer’s various vehicle kibble parts.  I learned a lot doing these little guys, enough that the idea of working on a larger figure seemed much less daunting... <div class="link-more"><a href="https://teletraanone.com/index.php/2025/06/27/ai-cat-astrophe/">Read More</a></div>

- [Snake Eyes - Rod Whigham](https://teletraanone.com/index.php/2017/02/06/snake-eyes-rod-whigham/): In searching for the artwork for the previous post, I came across one more piece that I thought I should share.  This is a Snake Eyes sketch done at a convention in the mid-80’s by none other than regular (at the time) GIJoe artist extraordinaire, Rod Whigham.  His pencil work from the majority of issues 31 to 56 (Jan ’85 – Feb ’87) really defines the title in my mind as a high-water mark of the Marvel series. Joe - Mega Bloks: The Joe Team](https://teletraanone.com/index.php/2017/02/01/g-i-joe-mega-bloks-the-joe-team/): A few years ago when Hasbro announced that they were going to get into the brick business (presumably to get a share of that sweet Lego revenue), we all rejoiced that we might get some really cool small-scale Joe figures.  Instead, we got “Kre-O”, a blatant ripoff of cute little Lego minifigures and grossly under-scaled (even by Joe-standards) brick vehicles.  This type of figure just didn’t translate well for Joe, as they lacked the rugged personality of their 4″ predecessors, and they didn’t possess the adorable charm of their Transformers Kre-O counterparts.
